Nintendo DS Reach 3 Million in SalesWorldwide!!!

In the latest news buzzing around at nintendo's headquarters, with the combines sales of DS units in Europe, North America, and Japan. Nintendo has reached the 3 million mark.

At this point, the Nintendo DS is riding high off the sales of 16 titles that were released with the DS, including Super Mario 64DS and Wario Ware Touched.

"The launch of Nintendo DS in the UK continues to be an unprecedented success;" commented David Yarnton, Nintendo UK's general manager. "Gamers new and old have embraced the Nintendo DS and have left no doubt that it is the new must have handheld console! Nintendo set out to create a new way of hand-held gaming, offering an innovative and enjoyable experience and with the new Nintendo DS, and we have certainly accomplished this."

At this point, the DS has really no rivals in Europe outside the Gizmondo and Zodiac. But once September 1st roles around, that should all change. IGN
